M.Tech. in Power Electronics and Drives is a 2-year postgraduate course, divided across 4 semesters, which can be pursued both part-time and full-time in the country, much like any other M.Tech. course. Power Electronics and Drives is an emerging discipline of engineering, which essentially involves concepts and processes of the conversion of power for efficient utilization. Students enrolled to the course are taught on an advanced level about the technology used in energy conversion, switching electrical machines, drives, industrial equipment, power systems, and applications of fast-developing electronics such as electrical machines and power systems..
